Teaching & Learning Strategies: The project briefs recommend a combination of teaching methods including practical instruction and case studies as appropriate methods for students to demonstrate competence in the subject elements. A visit by or too a professional practitioner would be also be endorsed by this subject programme. There will also be an opportunity for the visiting lecture programme to participate in the delivery of this subject.
Module Aim: To equip the student with practical skills for working in a variety of digital Imaging/design formats. • To introduce the student to professional standards of visual presentation and print production. • To provide the student with practical experience in work using a variety of printing techniques. • To encourage the student to be able to problem-solve in groups.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Knowledge: On successful completion of this programme the student will: 1. Be able to demonstrate knowledge of the digital imaging formats suitable for making professional presentations of their work. 2. Be able to indicate a good knowledge of appropriate formats for designing professional standard print work. 3. Be able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of print layout design
LO2 Know-how and skill: On successful completion of this subject the student will: 1. Be able to make digital image files and presentations of their work in Industry standard software. 2. Be able to design and produce multi page documents. 3. Be able to produce documents that adhering to industry standard print production.
LO3 Competence: On successful completion of this subject the student will: 1. Have an understanding of the correct applications used to produce industry stand finished work. 2. Be able to evaluate and discriminate their own work. 3. Be able to work and learn in a variety of learning contexts.

Project briefs will direct the student towards designing and producing multi page documents that adhere to industry standards in printing, finishing, production and binding.
