Teaching & Learning Strategies: The learning outcomes detailed above will be achieved through the following teaching methodologies: Lectures – Communication of knowledge and ideas between lecturer and student. Guest lectures – the NGBs will be involved in delivering contemporary coaching issues Problem Solving – Students will participate in group activities to apply knowledge and theory to coach development Independent Research – students will work as part of a team or individually conducting and presenting research on lecturer assigned contemporary issues in coaching and will engage in debate on these topics. Class Discussion – Students will be actively encouraged to participate in debates and discussions. Practicals The use of case study and article discussion & presentation will play a primary role
Module Aim: The aim of this module is to examine coach education, mentoring provision and practice and the requisite knowledge and expertise underpinning such activity
