Module Title:ICT and Agriculture 2
Language of Instruction:English
Credits: 5
NFQ Level:6
Module Delivered In No Programmes
Teaching & Learning Strategies: Delivery of the module will revolve around practical work that the student will save and submit at the end of the module. Classes will be used to prepare the student for laboratory sessions. Laboratory exercises should reinforce the learning from classes and show alternative applications of the tools to expand the scenarios in which they may be used. All theory will be supported using examples and practical exercises. Tutorials and labs will operate on a ‘learning by doing’ ethos and an open ‘studio’ type of learning environment will be encouraged. Other forms of learning such as problem based learning and problem solving, particularly in groups, will be encouraged through projects and through class tasks.
Module Aim: The aim of this module is to further develop learners’ knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and presentation tools together with the development of key skills in GIS, GPS and associated AutoCAD.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Demonstrate the ability to produce effective documentation using word processing, spreadsheets and presentation authoring tools in a timely manner
