Module Aim: To develop a knowledge of the Irish legal framework and of the legal issues associated with the construction and management of buildings and the development of critical thinking and report writing
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 to describe the basis of law and legislation associated with construction, property and buildings
LO2 to describe and explain the relevant legislation and issues relating to safety in construction
LO3 to describe and demonstrate a knowledge of the functions of Construction Contracts
LO4 to describe current Building Regulations; Planning Regulations and Fire Safety Regulations
LO5 to describe and demonstrate a knowledge of the planning permission application process
LO6 to demonstrate critical thinking and report writing skills
