This module will be taught as 1 hour of theory per week in term one. Students will be required to access relevant lecture material via Blackboard in advance of the class. This module will involve discussion boards on Blackboard and group tasks during class.
Module Aim:
To enable the student to identify his/her scope of practice as a member of ARTI and/or BASRaT, and to explore the code of ethics and professional conduct of those organizations.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:

Understand the socio-political context in Ireland within which ARTCs and GSRs practice.
LO2
Recognise the scope of professional practice of ARTI and BASRaT.
LO3
Discuss the code of ethics and professional conduct by which he/she should abide.
LO4
Appreciate common ethical dilemmas faced by ARTCs and GSRs.
