Teaching & Learning Strategies: A combination of methods will be used - lectures, structured class discussion, video.
Module Aim: The module will examine the impact of EU policy on both the air and surface transport sectors using data from a number of EU member states. It will also examine the changes that have taken place from a business and consumer perspective and highlight social /employment issues which have emerged in the sector over the last twenty years
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Have a knowledge of EU structures
LO2 Have a knowledge of EU legislation with respect to transport
LO3 Have the ability to assess critically EU policy with respect to competition
LO4 Assess the impact of liberalization on employment conditions in the sector
