Students will develop an understanding of the philosophy of care in social care practice and will evaluate key social care theories and models, eg Strengths based, solution focused and problem solving approaches; Systems theory; Ecological theory; Narrative therapy model; Crisis Intervention; Task Centred Practice; Wheel of Change and Motivational Interviewing; Restorative practice in social care work.
