Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Describe the history and development of early childhood education in Ireland
LO2 Explain the importanceof play in the pedagogy of early childhood education
LO3 Describe how babies learn about themselves and their environment
LO4 Identify the impact of equality and diverse practice on children and their families in early years settings
LO5 Identify the factors that provide the foundation for curious, literate and numerate practice
LO6 Explain the importance of the active child in early childhood education
LO7 Describe and descuss the role of the adult (parent & EC practitioner) in supporting learning
LO8 Relate play and learning to practice in early childhood settings
