Module Aim: Develop 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies for use in mechanical engineering practise.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Develop 3D Models of parts using CAD systems
LO2 Develop 3D assemblies using CAD systems
LO3 Generate 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD systems
LO4 Generate part lists and BOM for assemblies
LO5 Understand the engineering design process and the part it plays in the manufacture of products and components.
