(1) to develop a knowledge of measurement, tendering and post contract procedures
(2) to teach measurement and estimating skills

On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:

to measure and estimate costs of simple building work.
LO3
to describe and demonstrate an understanding of the knowledge of valuation of 'as constructed' work and variations in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.

(d) Preparation of unit rates
(3) Post contract valuation of work (30 hours lectures)
(a) Preparation of valuations
(b) Valuation of variations
(c) Prime Cost Sums and Provisional Sums
(d) Final Accounts
(e) Use of general purpose software for these processes
