Module Aim: |
The learner will explore social issues that social care workers may be exposed to within practice such as working with individuals who may have experienced or witnessed, forced migration, human trafficking, slavery, rape, torture, war, genocide etc. It will provide the learner with opportunities to critically reflect on the effect globalization is having on social care practice, namely how it is changing service delivery and altering how we work within a globalized world and culturally diverse society. The learner will also examine the role of international organisations and NGO’S in highlighting and advocating for human rights issues both nationally and internationally.
