Module Aim: The aim of this module is to provide the student with the knowledge and understanding of Civil Air Law and Regulations`, both national and International.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Describe the function of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and its role in civil aviation
LO2 Understand European Union (EU) aviation policies and regulations
LO3 Discuss the roles and functions of the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA)
LO4 Demonstrate a knowledge of the roles of the Irish Aviation Authority and the Dept. of Transport Tourism & Sport in policy formation and enactment
LO5 Evaluate Airline Operations in compliance to laws and regulations
