The focus of year 4 will be to allow the student to make decisions on research and dissemination of the research and associated project work in an end of year exhibition of a cultural object or landscape. The work will be primarily self-led with support from tutors and from the ‘design-studio’ ethos.
Module Aim:
The aims of this module are:
• To develop skills in the area of touch screen technology
• To develop skills in the area of documentation of cultural heritage;
• To develop skills in the area dissemination of multi media research;
• To encourage students to engage this research media with the wider public.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:

Research a topic in context to a particular element of cultural heritage
LO2
Select an appropriate method of documentation and acquisition of cultural data;
LO3
Record, manipulate and analyse the material through an accessible medium ;
LO4
Disseminate the material through an accessible medium to the wider public – for example by means of a dedicated website and launching exhibition.
LO5
Analyse and constructively criticize student and peer contemporary project work
LO6
Understand and analyse the role digital media play in preservation and recording of our cultural heritage
LO7
To present an interactive project suitable for a public audience using touch screen technology

Research the relevant topic, agreed with class tutor, and document it as proposed in project 1. Prepare and edit all work for posting to a website constructed for the purposes of this project. Material should use the skills developed in previous modules, such as image capture, manipulation and editing. Source an exhibition space for presentation of class work, as a group, for an end of year exhibition of Digital Heritage.
