Delivery of the module will revolve around practical work that the student will save and submit at the end of the module. Classes will be used to prepare the student for laboratory sessions. Laboratory exercises should reinforce the learning from classes and show alternative applications of the tools to expand the scenarios in which they may be used.
All theory will be supported using examples and practical exercises. Tutorials and labs will operate on a ‘learning by doing’ ethos and an open ‘design studio’ type of learning environment will be encouraged.
Day trips to institutions for research, and information, or symposia, to reinforce the application of the information will be integral to the learning.
