Module Aim:
The aim of this module is to introduce the student to the field of logistics and supply chain management.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:

Distinguish between logistics and supply chain management.
LO2
Describe the activities that comprise the internal and external supply chain of manufacturing and distribution organisations.
LO3
Compare and contrast supply chain management in Retail, Distribution and in Manufacturing, and identify inventory management tools appropraite to each sector.
LO4
Perform basic inventory management calculations based on EOQ, orderpoint, and periodic review.
