Module Aim: The module will examine the impact of EU policy on both the air and surface transport sectors using data from a number of EU member states. It will also examine the changes that have taken place from a business and consumer perspective and highlight social /employment issues which have emerged in the sector over the last twenty years.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Recognise relevant EU structures and have a knowledge of their relevance
LO2 Critique EU legislation with a particular emphasis on aviation transport
LO3 Have the ability to criticall assess current EU policy with respect to competition
LO4 Assess the impact of liberalisation on employment conditions as they relate to the aviation sector
