Teaching & Learning Strategies: The learner engages in an applied project planning and design management through studio-based learning pedagogy. Learning is supported to gain a practical and applied understanding and application of the principles and tools, through synchronous/asynchronous lecture and/or resource, facilitated micro-tasks and group discussion, tutor formative feedback, facilitated tutor-learner and peer-to-peer critique/review, e-learning and self-directed learning, and self/peer reflection on engagement/process/output toward strategy enhancement and further learning; using on-campus and/or blended and hybrid approaches.
Module Aim: The aim of the module is to guide the learner through the knowledge and application to prepare a design project plan, implement and manage and modify the plan throughout the process, and report on outcomes in delivery of Design Studio 4 (Product Design) product design innovation HDP.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:
LO1 Plan and manage a design project using project planning tools and project management approach.
LO2 Produce proficient technical documentation using technical writing style, structure, content and formatting.
LO3 Evaluate plan, management, processes and insights to inform and recommend for commercial decision and strategy.
LO4 Critique engagement, performance and outcome for control and review, within micro/macro contexts.

Myers Briggs, conception project charter, goals and objectives, scope and budget, WBS and road-mapping, GANTT charting, risk and mitigation, hypothesis, KPI tracking, quality and control, design brief, technical writing protocols for design documentation..
COLLABORATION: (engaging/sharing/building)
Facilitated brainstorm for planning, scheduling and milestone-setting.
DISCUSSION: (tutoring/conversing/presenting)
Facilitated break-out discussion, aligned with formal delivery.
INVESTIGATION: (searching/studying/evaluating)
Digital project planning tools, MS Word for long documents, technical document structure, writing styles, referencing styles, technical report examples.
